In-Kind Giving

In-Kind Giving
You can make a contribution to Benicia Tree Foundation by donating goods and services in kind.
Individuals and companies alike make in-kind donations. Donations may range from a trailer, to a wheelbarrow or other garden tools. Perhaps your company can donate raffle prizes and silent auction items for our special events and exceptional volunteers and student participants.

Donations of any of the following would be greatly appreciated:

  • Food and bottled water for events
  • Gardening supplies and equipment
  • Used utility trailer
  • Used passenger van
  • Other contractor/consulting services

This list is by no means exhaustive. If you have something else to donate, please suggest it.

Ed Brennan is Benicia's premier Consulting Arborist and has more than two decades of experience in the field. He donates untold numbers of hours to BTF. If you ever need a professional arborist, we highly recommend him.

CCL Organics has generously agreed to donate their compost, mulch, and soil products to BTF projects, and their "Midnight Mulch" is helping 160 trees grow at two school sites in the Benicia Unified School District. Please give them your business whenever you need high quality soil amendments. Dave Burnley is the proprietor at CCL. He holds a degree in Horticulture from UC Davis and an expert on soil related matters. CCL is open to the general public, although most of their business is with larger companies. The CCL operation is quite impressive, so don't miss the opportunity to visit and learn about how soil amendments are made.

Dolan's Lumber has kindly donated scrap lumber to support our tree planting projects. They "sell everything to build anything" so please consider shopping with them when you have the need.

Support two non-profits at once by purchasing an item from the Benicia Tree Foundation registry list at the Common Ground Organic Garden Supply and Education Center. Please visit their store at 559 College Avenue, Palo Alto, CA and ask for the Benicia Tree Foundation registry.

Benicia Tree Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c) 3 organization. Contributions are tax-deductible as specified under section (C) 3 of the Internal Revenue Code.
