Benicia Tree Foundation Received $1,555 in donations last month

Benicia Tree Foundation participated in the worldwide Giving Tuesday campaign for the first time on December 3 and attracted donations totaling $1,555.  Our donors gave three ways.  $850 was received through GiveLocalSolano, which was a Giving Tuesday campaign for Solano County non-profit organizations sponsored by the Solano Community Foundation.  $395 was received though the Giving Tuesday campaign sponsored by Facebook, and $310 was received directly though the Benicia Tree Foundation website

It costs about $4,000 annually to keep the lights on at Benicia Tree Foundation.  Our biggest expenses are for the storage unit that holds our equipment and supplies, insurance, tools, website hosting and email service.  The property owners we work with are usually able to cover the cost of the trees we plant.  We also get donations throughout the year specifically dedicated for trees.

As an all volunteer non-profit organization, the Benicia Tree Foundation relies on the donations from individuals and businesses who believe in what we do.  The Foundation's Board of Directors wishes to thank all who supported us in 2019, through donations as well as by volunteering.
